Prudence “1st Tinya to every Tinya Tanya” Ndala
Production & Digital Marketing Assistant
Everyone’s winging it, trust me.
Once upon a time, during the last kicks of the DV tape era, I studied film. I’m also a collector of free online courses.
Apart from always being the shortest kid, I remember playing Dithini (an African indigenous game with cans, tins and buckets) at my grandmother’s house. My dad didn’t want me crossing the street. So, every time his car showed up, my uncle would sing: “Nang’ubaba, nang’ubaba (Here comes dad),” so I’d run back in the house and pretend I was watching TV.
Watching cartoons and movies, and reviewing them for the folks at home (in my head).
Your role @ the Loeries
Triple threat: Resident early-bird, fish-minder and production assistant.
Favourite movie line
“You are not a bad person. You are a very good person who bad things have happened to. Besides, the world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.” – Sirius Black (Order of the Phoenix)
Inspirations and aspirations
II’m inspired by people finding simple but incredible ways to make life work for themselves and others. Especially others. I aspire to be that dynamic.
One thing most people don’t know about you
I’m way older than I look. No complaints there.
The first thing you would do if you won a million rand
Show up to work fully suited up in my PJs. And buy a farm.
I can touch my toes without bending my knees. I can cook pap without incurring third-degree burns.
