Melissa Grundlingh
Art Director, TBWA Hunts Lascaris
Johannesburg

When it comes to good luck, Melissa was last in the queue. It took a lot of savvy and hard work for this little plattelander to take on Joburg, one agency (and award ceremony), at a time. She’s living proof that creativity and great ideas have little to do with luck.

Driven by a mix of hard work, perfection, and coffee, she took the ad industry by storm leaving her mark wherever she went - winning some pretty, shiny things, both locally and internationally. Ranging from Loeries Grand Prix and Pendoring Umpetha award to Cannes Lions, a few pencils at D&AD and The One Show Club.

Just a pity her 2020 trip to Cannes was cancelled. Because COVID. Just her luck.

Bibi Bonnecwe
Creative Group Head, The Odd Number
Johannesburg

I'm a Creative Group Head at The Odd Number with 8 years industry experience. My journey started at Joe Public United when they welcomed me as an intern at the beginning of my career. 3 years later, after working on brands like Jet, Nedbank and Brothers For Life, I joined The Promise Group to work mainly on the Edcon speciality division. A year later, I found myself at The Odd Number working on Game, Lovers+, The Salvation Army and Brand SA, to name a few. I've scoop up 2 bronze Loeries, a gold and silver Pendoring and 3rd place for Creative Circle Ad of the year during my time here. I’ve also had the honor of being part of the Creative Circle judging panel twice.

When I'm not making ads, I'm working on my personal project, which is raising my toddler. Which also requires more wine than a pitch night.
