Jabulani Sigege

Currently a Creative Director at M&C Saatchi Abel in Cape Town, Jabulani has previously worked at King James and BBDO Cape Town. A copywriter by trade, he’s won awards at local and international shows, including Cannes, One Show, Loeries, Pendorings, Assegais, Apex, Bookmarks and Eagle Awards.

He's also a fervent advocate of advertising that taps into insights, especially when talking to black consumers. He’s passionate about transforming the SA advertising landscape and doing work that reflects our unique country.

Outside of work, he’s a bibliophile, kwaito fanatic, hip hop head, runner and a voracious consumer of all things pop culture. You’ll also catch him people watching (but not in a creepy way).

Molefi Thulo, aka Mo, began his career at DraftFCB in the early 2000’s. While there he developed a love for storytelling and incorporating humour into his work. In 2009 he joined Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg where he climbed his way up to creative director. He’s had the privilege of working on a number of accounts such as KFC, Lucozade, Vodacom, Samsung, Coca-Cola, Toyota, DStv and South African Breweries, to mention a few. His work has been awarded both locally and internationally.

Nkgabiseng Motau

Nkgabsieng Motau holds a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Brand Communication. During her studies, she was awarded a gold Pendoring for the branding of the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital which is currently the hospital’s official branding. Nkgabiseng began her career at Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg working on brands such as DStv and Cell C.

She has also worked at FCB Africa on brands such as Old Mutual, Wimpy and Coca-Cola for which she has won numerous awards. She has also served on judging panels for Creative Circle, Pendorings and Nestle Art. She has recently been appointed to the EXCO board of the Creative Circle. Nkgabiseng is Co-founder and Creative Director at Think Creative Africa working with clients such as Adcock Ingram, Italtile and Amka.

 

Sbu Sithole
Creative Director & Co-Founder, Odd Number

Sibusiso Sitole is Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director of The Odd Number. With 14 years of experience in the Advertising Industry, Sbu Co-founded The Odd Number in 2015. The Agency has since attracted clients such as BBC Entertainment, Brand South Africa, Nedbank and Wimpy. Since opening shop the agency has also managed to win Creative Circle Ad Of the month, gold Loeries, gold Pendorings and the coveted Umpheta Pendoring award. Sibusiso also judged multiple award ceremonies including, Loeries, Pendorings and APEX awards.

He has also won the Loeries New Voice award 3 years in a row and is a returning APEX judge. The Odd Number went on to win AdFocus agency of the year 2017, and Sbu was nominated most admired Creative Director in Johannesburg, and second most admired Creative Director in South Africa in 2017, nominated by industry peers. The Odd Number currently ranks as the 12th creative agency in South Africa, based on the Loeries rankings 2017.

Thibedi Meso

After completing a BA in Graphic Design, Thibedi went on to pursue a career in Copywriting. He landed his first job as a copywriter at M&C SaatchiAbel, where he spent two years before moving on to JWT and TBWA Hunt Lascaris.

He then went on to join Black River FC in February 2015, where he has made his home and the work he’s most proud of, some of which has been recognised at One Show and Loeries.

 

 

Zwelakhe Tshabangu

Zwelakhe, or Zee as he is affectionately known, in his modest 16 year career experience in the Advertising and communication industry, has been able to create memorable work for South Africa and the rest of the African continent. He’s worked on brands like ABInBev’s Castle Lager, Castle Milk Stout, Miller Genuine Draught, Peroni, FIFA 2010, Eskom, MultiChoice, DStv, SuperSport, Channel O, Mzansi Magic, Cell C, Vodafone, Bakers, KFC, to name but a few.

Some of these campaigns were followed by Apex, Loerie and Cannes awards. Zee has been Creative Director at Ogilvy and Mather Johannesburg and Executive Director at Africa Red, an Ogilvy SA owned company. In 2006, at the tender age of 25, Zee was promoted to Creative Director at Ogilvy Johannesburg which was soon followed by his appointment to the Ogilvy Johannesburg Board of Directors the same year. He was the country’s youngest board member at the time.

As founder and Executive Creative Director at The Make Beautiful Agency, Zee continues to dazzle his DStv, Hollard, MultiChoice, Channel O, Mzansi Magic and Mukuru clients and inspire his creative teams to continuously push the creative boundaries in finding ingenious solutions to client’s problems by making beautiful work that works beautifully.
