The Loeries has released its seventh annual official rankings based on the awards won at the 2017 Loeries Awards. This year, for the second year running, KFC is the top brand, having won 11 Loeries, including a Grand Prix. Flight Centre and Marble take second and third place, respectively. #Loeries2017: KFC's sad radio ads win a Grand Prix, not quite the saddest thing of all

Ogilvy Johannesburg did particularly well at the Loeries 2017, as runner up (in second place) to the Agency of the Year (Impact BBDO Dubai) with 17 awards, the highlight being a Grand Prix in the Radio Station Commercials category for its KFC Double Down Sad Man Meal campaign.

Tony Koenderman's family have announced that he passed away on the evening of Sunday, 9 April from complications that arose after an operation for a broken leg and an extended stay in ICU.Koenderman was inducted into the Loeries Hall of Fame in 2015. For more click here

Red & Yellow School’s students took home five student Loeries in total in 2016, including poster silver for “Hell, who’s in it”, publication design bronze for “Animal Farm Revisited”, integrated campaign bronze for Sii effluent detection’s “Swimming In It”. See more here
